Farm Happenings for July 8, 2020: It's hot, have you noticed?

Posted on July 3rd, 2020 by Lorien Carsey

These guys are wearing masks in 90 degree heat, and not complaining! So many things to talk about. This is going to be long, but I am NOT just trying to avoid working in the heat. I promise.

1. There are Donation Boxes still. I keep donating, hoping that you guys keep buying them. We are now running a surplus of donations, which is a good thing.

2. Meyer Produce is cancelling fruit shares and we will be issuing refunds. The weather has not allowed them to have even apples consistent this year. Last year we got applies from them, but it's a no go. Really sorry to the fruit lovers!

3. Everyone who is buying eggs, meat, or flowers please write that on your car name-tags. It helps us when we load you up. It's OK if the add-on isn't for that day. We'll understand it.

4. PLEASE SET YOUR PREFERENCES. If you don't set preferences, you tend to get the same things in your box, which defeats the purpose of Harvie. For a tutorial on setting preferences, Preferences Tutorial

5. Meat Shares: If you have a meat add-on, that share has to be picked up that day for food safety reasons. If you can't pick it up, send a friend. If you know ahead of time, send us an so we can keep it frozen for you.

6. Happy 4th! We hope you enjoy yourselves and eat lots of good food.
