Farm Happenings for June 3, 2020

Posted on May 29th, 2020 by Lorien Carsey

I want to thank each and every one of your for your patience as we work through some issues that we became aware of last week.

Here are some notable issues that we are currently working on:

I showed up but there was no box for me! Many of these issues were from people who donated boxes earlier in the year. We didn't know emails would be sent to people who donated boxes so we are sorry about that. Here is what I have done moving forward: I have emailed Harvie to ask if we can turn off emails to people who have donated boxes. I also encourage you to look at the email you get regarding your pick up. If your email says that you have a donation box only, you don't need to pick it up. If you scroll down you can see your next delivery date. Image below:

I also wanted to give you an update on your donation shares. We are donating extra produce each week which is currently being picked up by Rey who is driving to Piatt County to donate the produce. Here is a photo on Rey and his donations this week:

We have another exciting week of vegetables coming up! Our field chard, collards and kale will likely be ready very soon. I have limited quantities this week but expect it to be unlimited very soon.

Please set your preferences on your dashboard.

This will give you more variety in your box from week to week. If you don't put your preferences in, you may receive the same box several weeks in a row.

Box Customization

In the past, if you swapped items, you may have been upcharged based on the various prices of our vegetables. Some of you were unaware you were charged and later found out and emailed me.This year, Harvie has made some adjustments to better inform you about your swaps. Now, if you are swapping something that will cause an upcharge, you will get a pop up notification informing you there will be an extra charge and gives you the option to continue or cancel.

Need help or have questions?

If you have questions, you can email Harvie support from your profile page who can help you with most of your questions. If they can't help you, they forward your email to us and we can help you out. By emailing Harvie, it prevents us being the middle man and having to forward your emails to Harvie support to assist you. This gives us more time to be in the fields and less time in front of our computer.
