Hello Folks,
I'm having a hard time mustering up any positive highlights to mention about this week. This is hands down the most challenging frustrating farming season that I've ever had. Granted, this is only my 9th year providing a CSA Farm share, but I'm pretty down. We're going to keep working hard to provide you with a healthy share of vegetables.
Please note that if you select to receive sweet corn it will most likely have an "earworm" in the tip. This pest is very difficult to control organically. It's nearly impossible to find organic sweet corn in the store. All of the rain has also stunted the sweet corn, so the ears are smaller than we'd like.
