The weather is sweltering and the pepper plants are thriving! If you were putting it off, now is the perfect time to make salsa! We've got cilantro coming in, onions in storage, tons of tomatoes and pounds of peppers just waiting for you! If you like it hot, we've got a delightful mix of hot peppers for you. If you like it sweet then you can add a peach or two! If you don't have the time or canning isn't your thing, but you enjoy salsa, Cindy our Kitchen manager has whipped up some delicious salsas especially for CSA members! Salsa in limited supply, so get it while it's hot!
We're not the only ones who dig hot peppers. The orb weaver corn spiders chose the hot pepper plants as sturdy anchors for their unique zig-zag webs! They're mostly harmless (yes, we checked), but still, you wouldn't necessarily want one to surprise you on your shoulder!
