Hi there Winter CSA members, Hope you're all as well as can be with the start of 2023. We've had some time to relax and unwind down here, while we've also been chugging along on plans for the coming season. Its usually right around now that I feel like I can notice a slight lengthening of the days,1 read more »

Alright folks, let's try this again! Thanks for your patience. We had a very very frozen Saturday before our scheduled 12/18 pick up. Typically we can wait it out to defrost for a 3 hour harvest window but sometimes it doesn't end up thawing out enough to harvest.  This weeks box features some1 read more »

Hi CSA Folks, Well winter sure did come. We've had a good amount of snow on the ground which has finally started to disappear. Hello CSA Members! Apologies for the late box email. We've had a very busy week trying to button everything up before the rain arrived. And arrived it has. The list this week included finishing gutters, pulling tarps from the field, a final harvest of sweet peppers, shearing sheep, and flipping our1 read more »

We're down to the last three pick ups! Sort of unbelievable given where we started this season. One of the wettest, coldest springs on record, the slowest I've ever seen vegetables grow, to somehow still having tomatoes mid October. Last year this time we already had a frost, and were farming with1 read more »

Hi CSA Folks, Another day in the high 70s? Well OK. Easily the latest we've been able to offer sweet peppers and tomatoes in memory--hope you all can savor the summer that's still coming in. On the farm this week, we have been doing what I hope is the final hand weed of our fall/winter carrots. Car1 read more »

Well it finally became fall. I say this as we're looking at highs in the lows 80s high 70s for the next few days. Bananas. By far the latest we've ever had to cover crop. The good news is that the veggies are benefitting after that weird cold spring that really slowed everything down. Hard to feel1 read more »
