Week #9: Changing of the guard

Posted on August 3rd, 2018 by Robyn Calvey

***Soon to come veggies: more sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, green beans, beets, roma tomatoes, slicing tomatoes, colored peppers, broccoli, shallots***

Changing of the guard. This is always a bittersweet time of year. The tomatoes are ripening, the colored peppers are coloring, and the rains have finally come. BUT we start to bid farewell to our student employees. This is Maddison's last week before she heads off to UW-Parkside for her senior year studying Environmental Science. In a few weeks, Noah our Sustainable and Organic Agriculture student/employee/intern, will return to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Lex will be heading back to Etude High School for her senior year. All of them are invaluable to the farm, and their smiles and skills will be missed. We wish them well and remind them to study hard.
