Welcome to the Summer Season at Noble Gardens

Posted on June 28th, 2021 by Tim Vrieselaar

Summer is here and it is a warm one!  Hope you are all keeping cool and safe.  This is unusually warm for this time of year and we hope you are all finding cool places and maybe a swimming pool.

Welcome to the Summer Season here at Noble Gardens!  We are glad to have you joining us and look forward to serving your food needs this summer.

We are committed to doing our best to bring you great food each week.  As we roll into summer you will see more of our own crops coming in the boxes.  We also support other growers to bring you a great mix of veggies.  All the growers we work with have the same commitment to great food grown in a healthy and sustainable way..the same as you know and trust us to do as well.

One thing that is very important to remember in this warm weather....YOUR COOLERS AND ICEPACKS!! Please have them ready in a shady spot so that we can keep your produce as fresh as possible.  A simple water bottle kept in the freezer overnight makes an easy icepack for your cooler.   As we are putting lots of food in your cooler...please make sure it is at least 45 litre size.  ( I am not being paid to advertise for Canadian Tire...but this cooler is the perfect size ...and it's even on sale!:) That will fit all your items in comfortably without anything needing to be left out.  If you have a meat share...a separate 12 can cooler bag will suffice for the meat.

For order changes....we send out the order form on Mondays ...and you have until 3pm on Tuesdays to get your order submitted with any changes.  If you do nothing...you will get the box our program has made you according to your preferences.  If you want to make changes that is great.  Extras can also be added to your share if you see something else delicious on the product list for the week.

It's been a long, hot day here....and we are ready to send kids to the basement for a cool sleep!  Tomorrow will be another long day of work...we like to start by 5 while it is nice and cool.  We often say we should take a siesta in the afternoon....but we never do!  And so our days are long and our nights are short. But that is part of summer!

Thanks for your support of our farm...and we hope you enjoy your summer of produce.
