Hello, Summer continues to try it's best to arrive!  With daily rains and cool nights it is a slow go.  I have never seen such a cold, slow spring.  We are very thankful for the greenhouse crops that we are able to share with you from Shirley's Greenhouse.  They do help to fill the gap in supply that we have right now.

In good news...the first beans have been spotted so they will not be too far away.  Peas are also coming...  One good thing about the cool weather - we look forward to a good crop of cauliflower and broccoli!  The gardens are growing - but this week the weeds did too!! It's time to get back out there - as soon as the mud dries - and start pulling weeds again.

We had a beautiful warm ,sunny day today - followed by yet another rain storm - and some hail.  Time will tell if there is damage from the hail or not - hopefully things will be ok.

Hope you all had a great day celebrating our country - Happy Canada Day!!

Last week saw a milestone in our family - our oldest son, Aaron graduated from High School -a super special moment for us!  It's amazing how fast time flies.  Those who have been on board for many years will remember him from deliveries - sorry he's too busy welding and painting grain bins these days to have time to go to deliveries:)  But he still willingly spends many hours cultivating, spraying and torching for us!

And yes...that's a baby bump I am sporting in the pictures.  If all goes well, we look forward to the arrival of another little one in October.  It is going to be a busy summer and I am sure October will be here in no time flat - but first - - lots of veggies to grow for you!!
