Farm Happenings for 5th week of October

Tulsi's new favorite past time: looking for worms in the compost pile. She spends most mornings with either a babysitter at our house or with my parents, who live here on the farm. She always comes to the farm to have lunch with us, then she naps at our house after lunch so either Chris or me can run back across the street to get some work done or whoever is on "Tulsi duty" can do some computer work till she wakes.

On Friday after her nap she actually hung out in the strawberry field for about an hour happily playing as we planted next year's crop. Getting easier to integrate her into the farm as she gets older!

One of her current favorite crops is the Thai Hibiscus. She loves to have it as tea for our occasional afternoon tea parties, and she likes to just eat it plain. We love to add it to Tuna salad, regular salads, or anywhere you'd use tart cherries. Last week we had it on top of stuffed peppers because recipe called for tart cherries and it was really good!
