Farm Happenings for November 3, 2023

This is it, last week for CSA shares for this season! Carrots are here just in time. Hope you enjoy these "sweeties" as Tulsi calls them. The delight my kids take in eating seasonally makes me so happy. They've enjoyed the sungolds, red peppers, and cucumbers for months now. As we pulled the first carrots last week, they were so excited to welcome an old favorite veggie back! We hope you enjoy the carrots and everything else this last week as much as they are. 

We also have some new extras on the list this week: pickled green tomatoes, hibiscus jam, and bulk sweet potatoes. Consider stocking up now for the winter! We love the green tomatoes added to cooked greens. The brine is so good. I've been enjoying the jam on toast or a grilled cheese. Someone suggested it with cream cheese and crackers too which I will definitely be trying next.

If you can make it out to Pine Mt. to pick up an order at the farm, we will be open on Wednesdays until December 13th. You can preorder through our website (www.jennyjackfarm.com) Fridays at 8 pm until Mondays at 8 pm. We will be open the Wednesday of Thanksgiving week as well.
