Hello Harmony Farm Members!
It has been an exciting and very cute week on the farm!
We arrived home on Sunday night just in time for the arrival of Goldie's new piglets. We also added to our flock of organic pest controllers, these adorable little ducklings. Right now they are being held in a fenced area until they are a bit bigger and used to coming in at night. By Japanese Beatle season they should be ready to be on garden patrol. Last year our flock of runner ducks completely cleared an infested patch of kale that looked beyond repair in less than one week. Hopefully by next spring, we will even have duck eggs available again.
We have an abundance of veggies in the garden right now. New this week are garlic scapes and sugar snap peas. We will have some recipe ideas on our @harmony_farming Instagram highlights and hope to see some of your ideas and creations on the FB Harmony Farm recipe sharing group page:)
