Farm Happenings for June 2-4, 2020

Posted on May 30th, 2020 by Stephanie Bradshaw

Wow!  We're getting ready for our first delivery of June!  Did that date surprise you as much as it did us?  We are starting week three and are so excited to add some new veggies to the mix!  Our Spring Greens continue to come in as the summer veggies continue to grow.  The squash plants are blooming and so are the tomatoes....some of our early tomato plants that we started in the hoop house, already have little green tomatoes on them.  It won't be long!!

The strawberries should continue for a couple more weeks...maybe longer.  I'm including a picture of my little niece....in her happy place!  I would love for you to send any pictures of your kids enjoying our farm shares that we can share with our members - or tag us on FB and Instagram!  Children eating fruits and veggies is a wonderful thing...especially when they discover things like... peas come in pods - and taste like candy compared to the mushy ones in a can! Or, potatoes grow in the ground and freshly dug ones still have dirt on them!  What a beautiful thing to teach our children and grandchildren where their food comes from!

As always, we appreciate all your support and encouragement!!
