Early Winter Farm Share for November 30-Dec.1, 2022

Posted on November 27th, 2022 by Gail and Maurice Smith

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from DragSmith Farms.  We hope you are safe and still stuffed with delicious and nutritious food that you enjoyed with family and friends.  We do loved to cook around here and kids of all ages are encouraged to participate.  The photo is Gail and Grandson Steven (12 yrs.old) mastering the latice work on a apple/green tomato rosemary pie.  It turned out beautiful, but, we were all to full to enjoy deserts at dinner.  Steven has his sites on the cooking profession.  He is a self imposed vegetarian since about 6 years old.

This past week we didn't get to much done here at the farm.  The usual packing of orders for Farm Share and the restaurants.  The "Produce Squad" worked hard on Wednesday to get the seeding done for the micro greens so they could take the day off on Friday.  Gail and Maurice, of course, are the keepers of it all, but, have managed to squeeze in some down time.  Gail went out to gather pine boughs etc. for wreath making.

As always have a wonderful week.  You are always welcome at the farm.
