Farm Happenings for November 29, 2023

Posted on November 26th, 2023 by Gail and Maurice Smith

Hope you had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving gathering.  We only had 10 people this year.  Some years up to 25 and others only 4.  Maurice and Gail did the usual traditional type of meal this year.  Because of doing deliveries on Wednesday, replanting micros and meeting with our organic inspector we didn't have time to think out of the box.

Not too much was done other than the normal stuff this past week.  Guess that isn't quite true.  Gail and Nathan (chef friend and now employee as well) took part of Friday to clean and start organizing the future kitchen at the farm store.  Teaming up together.  He needs a space to start his catering business and we would like to get rolling on the farm to table project that has been in our radar for years.

Nothing new for veggies at this time of year.  We did get some out of state organic broccolini in by mistake.  Take advantage of that opportunity.

As always have a great week, be safe and think creatively in using up all those left overs....we sent a lot of ours with grandsons.
