Our blueberry bushes are looking great with a ton of fruit on them, I hope we have a great harvest this year. We made it through the cold front last week without any frost damage on our squash and cucumbers thankfully. We got our first tomato plants in the ground after it warmed back up, they are looking great and although a bit behind schedule, I think they will still start producing around Mother's Day.1 read more »

Just as I suspected, we got some squash and cucumbers planted last week with the forecast calling for 41 degrees, checked it this morning and it is now calling for 34 degrees! Strawberries are coming in great at the moment, we picked about 25 flats over the weekend. About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
