Farm Happenings for March 28, 2024

Posted on March 25th, 2024 by Grady Seale

We made it through the cold front last week without any frost damage on our squash and cucumbers thankfully. We got our first tomato plants in the ground after it warmed back up, they are looking great and although a bit behind schedule, I think they will still start producing around Mother's Day. Other plants going in the ground towards the end of this week will be peppers, eggplant, and okra! We do have another front that will push through this week, it is calling for 43 degrees at the farm so we will be watching that. I hope yall got to enjoy some of this beautiful spring weather we have been getting, really gotta take those perfect days in and enjoy them because we all know we don't get a ton of them in South Louisiana. Have a great Easter and we will be in touch next week!
