Our blueberry bushes are looking great with a ton of fruit on them, I hope we have a great harvest this year. Last years crop didn't do well because we had a late frost that burned the blossoms that were on the bushes and they never really recovered enough to produce more. We got more plants in the ground last week and everything is looking great and growing quickly with the beautiful weather we have had. It looks like we should see a few storms this week but a lil rain wouldn't hurt as we have been missing any small showers that have been in our area. We will keep an eye on storms and looks like we are gonna get another cool front but nothing too cold so that is a plus!

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
