Check out this beautiful Romaine that I have Salad Days growing for us, it should be ready in about two weeks. I know most of you all love the hydro salad mix you receive in your boxes, about 90% of that comes from Salad Days, we have 2 other hydro growers that are closer to us but they don't produce near what Salad Days does because they also grow field crops. I asked SD to grow some romaine for me so I could offer it in the CSA boxes and it is looking great and getting close. I love a good Caesar salad with crispy cold romaine, a good bit of our Chefs will also grill it and that is amazing as well. We also had a great last few days of growing weather with full sunshine and warmer temps during the day, the squash and cucumbers are coming on well and shouldn't be too much longer.

About the farm
Covey Rise Farms is located in Husser, LA just north of New Orleans in central Tangipahoa Parish and is part of the Covey Rise Sportsman's Retreat. The farm started growing vegetables on 10 acres in 2009 and has expanded to over 60 acres at present. The farm not only grows multiple varieties of over 30 types of vegetables, but in recent years has added fruit trees and flowers. Our produce is enjoyed at various types of restaurants in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from the finest restaurants to quaint neighborhood cafes and everything in between and by our local produce/CSA members.
