Basil, Cucumbers, Tomatoes

Posted on June 29th, 2021 by Marie Williamson

Welcome to our new members this week! Customize your box to swap or add garlic, tomatoes, blueberries, and honey. Deadline is Wednesday at 11pm. Donate $5 of carrots or cucumbers or both to A Roof Above, an outstanding soup kitchen and homeless shelter in Charlotte that employees a skilled kitchen staff that utilizes fresh food donations for healthy meals. We're pleased that their staff and volunteers go the extra mile to handle, organize, and chop fresh fruit and vegetables.

Enjoy our seedless, fruity cucumbers "Corinto" variety on a hot day with tomatoes, basil and goat cheese. The high summer harvest list keep going! Green beans, zucchini, and our flavorful Chesnok Red garlic (award winning for roasting, but we like it all ways), sweet + crisp head lettuce (B.L.T for the 4th!)  Carrots and cabbage make appearances in slaw (add some fresh scallions or chives for a kick!)  Try the delicious, big certified organic blueberries and spring honey( from Fox Gap Farm up the mountain from us.)  I like to take honey and plain goat cheese and mix it til creamy and serve a few tablespoon with a big bowl of blueberries for a dessert. Have a fun weekend!
