The heat is finally here and some of the garden is loving it and

Wow!!! The days are going so fast, I can't believe its July already.
We have a few bok choi left but the hot days are going to make them bolt.

Welcome to summer!!!
The baby bok choi are now huge and things are growing fast!!
We will have some snow peas this week and a few new beets.
Also more cabbage. The blueberries this week were really tasty.

Summer is almost here and things are really growing. The grasshoppers are starting to grow and get bigger
too!!!! The baby guineas are teenagers now, but still can't eat all the hoppers. We are going to start some spray around the perimeters of the fields this week

We are finishing up the last of the planting for the first go around.
The corn is all up and loving this hot weather. We will have the first of the leaf
lettuce this week, also baby bok choi. The zucchini and yellow summer squash
are starting this week also.

This will be the last spring share delivery. Next week the summer shares will start.
The radishes are done until the new planting starts, probably 2 weeks.

We are getting lots planted out. Looks like we will have the first zucchini next week.
We hope to get the corn planted in a couple days for the corn maze and then we pray for no
grasshoppers!!!!

About the farm
We are a small family farm in NE Oregon. We grow a large selection of vegetables, our own frozen beef, free range eggs, in addition to fruit, local honey and other items from local producers. Our gardens are on a southern slope which gives us excellent growing conditions. We irrigate with water from a spring and use a drip system which allows us to give the plants what they need and not waste any water. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We do not knowingly plant any GMO seeds or plants.
