And just like that August is gone!!! Sure felt like fall the first part of last week!!!
The garden doesn't really know what to do right now!! 90's in the daytime and 40's at night!!!

We have enjoyed the rain the past couple of days but the lighting and wind were hard
on the electricity and we had lots of power bumps and outages. Finally got my

Farm Happenings for August 20, 2024
Hard to believe its the middle of August already. Things are really
growing now!! Lots of tomatoes and peppers, basil, okra, and green
beans. It felt a little bit like fall this am and I'm sure not ready for that!!!

More new things every week now!!! This is when summer gardening gets fun....and hot and tiring and
lots of weeds are desperate to grow!!! We have the first of the Hermiston melons this week!!! Also

About the farm
We are a small family farm in NE Oregon. We grow a large selection of vegetables, our own frozen beef, free range eggs, in addition to fruit, local honey and other items from local producers. Our gardens are on a southern slope which gives us excellent growing conditions. We irrigate with water from a spring and use a drip system which allows us to give the plants what they need and not waste any water. We do not use any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We do not knowingly plant any GMO seeds or plants.
