Recipes we tired and blissful summer farmers have been loving!

Posted on July 16th, 2021 by Lilly Emendy

There are a few key summer recipes that even sun-drenched and exhausted I can always find the motivation to make... share some of your summer favorites with us too, we'd love to hear all about it!

Southern Tomato Pie: I have used cherry tomatoes, green tomatoes, cheddar, manchego, parmesan, and parsley instead of basil.. but I never replace my Duke's mayonnaise!

Roasted Garlic Squash Soup: I grew up with a parent who loved squash soup. Also squash biscuits. Also sautéed squash. It's hits a deeply comforting place when I taste the creamy and distinct flavor of a good squash soup. Do you have a favorite summer soup?

Baba Ganoush: Who has time for full meals in this heat?! Sometimes a fridge full of small plate makings is a perfect spread of food for the family. Often in my home it's a plate of blistered padron peppers, hummus, sweet italian peppers or lunchbox peppers to dip and if I've made the little bit of extra effort... the creamy rich and satisfying flavors of Baba Ganoush.

Hope y'all are hungry! We have so much food! If you're interested in large quantities of something for canning or another food project, reach out for bulk pricing and availability.
