Summer days ahead

Posted on June 25th, 2021 by Lilly Emendy

As the heat waves sink into the soil we are being gifted with a bounty of seasonal produce on the farm. To take a peek ahead, we have some really awesome vegetable varieties about to be harvested. Take a closer look:

'Lunchbox' Snacking Pepper: Small, few seeds, super sweet, and long lasting, these treats are going to be your new favorite lunchtime snack if you haven't tried them before. Always good with some homemade ranch full of herbs from our farm. Current favorite ranch dressing herb combo: basil, thyme, and parsley. The more herbs the better!

'Bigdena' Tomato: These medium sized, beefsteak tomatoes are delicious, and so useful for all this fresh tomato. They are looking really strong in our caterpillar tunnel and are already trellised and climbing over 6 feet tall!

'Inchelium Red' Softneck Garlic: This softneck variety is bursting with flavour, has incredible storage quality and will be available soon in braids!

Looking forward to feeding you all these incredible varieties in the coming months,

Lilly, Becca, and the farm team
