Pickup Procedures/Safety

Posted on April 10th, 2020 by Lilly Emendy

We are full of joy and pride that we get to be your farmers during this time. Thank you for your support and thanks for reading this email thoroughly and asking me any follow up questions you have about pickup procedures to keep everyone safe! We encourage everyone to continue to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations of wearing gloves and facemasks when in public space. Please know that our staff and volunteers are taking every precaution we've learned about and the produce in your shares has been handled by no more than 3 staff members at any point. Once, to harvest it, once to clean it, and once to pack it. We are washing hands thoroughly and routinely, wearing gloves and facemasks whenever possible, and disinfecting all equipment before and after use.

Wednesday Harvest Box pickup
1) Arrive to pick up your Harvest Box on Wednesday between 4-7pm on the farm at 1100 Curtis St Greensboro NC 27406

2) Pull into the parking lot and drive a loop clockwise, so that your drivers door is next to the white tent. I will be on the farm somewhere, but not under the tent with you. Certainly within earshot though!

3) Your customized Harvest Box will be sitting under the tent, prelabeled, and ready for you. Load your share into your vehicle and place the wax cardboard box into the black sanitizer bin.

4) There is sanitizer spray available for you to spray any areas you touched and a foot pump handwashing station if you need.

5) Please only 1 person under the tent at a time!

6) If you'd like to walk around the farm for a self-quided tour and a little peace, please pull into a parking spot to allow others to pull up to the tent.

Thursday Harvest Box Pickup

1) Arrive on Thursday 4:30-6:30pm at Amy and Steve's house, 324 Gorrell St Greensboro, NC 27406.

2) Park on the street and walk up to their porch

3) They will not be hosting the "social" aspect of porch pickups until it is safe to do so

4) Please only 1 person on the porch as a time. Amy or Steve will be at the far end of the porch, at a safe distance, if you'd like to say hello or ask any questions about your share.

That's it! It's like a contactless, self-operated pickup. There will be signs posted and we will get a lot of practice over the coming weeks. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns we are all learning all the time so please feel welcomed to share!

Thanks,
Lilly
