Local apples season has been coming on slow this year, thanks in part to the same hail storm that damaged the peach crop. But some of our favorites are rolling in now from Livesay Orchards, including Arkansas Blacks! The Arkansas Black is a good storage apple, and usually one of the last trees harvested before the end of the season. They are a beautiful, dark red, and they are firm and crisp. Look for them in your box this week!
