Oklahoma peaches!
At last, some Oklahoma peaches! Apparently the late-season peaches partially escaped the hail storm that took out the rest of the crop at Livesay Orchards. Some of them have skin blemishes, but they are considered "#1" quality. Look for them in your box this week!

Peppers, eggplant, peaches, melons!
Peppers are finally here! And melons, too. It's pretty hard to manage the delivery of large watermelons, so we're hoping some smaller "Ana" variety melons will be available for boxes soon. In the meantime, you'll see cut cantaloupe cups in the boxes this week.
New to eggplant? Try salting it before... read more »
Peaches, at last!
As many of you know, the peach crop at Livesay Orchards in Porter was hit hard by hail this year, so the peaches we've been buying from them have actually been coming from other orchards they are connected with out-of-state. That has resulted in a lot of uncertainty, and we haven't been able to make... read more »
Too hot to cook - grab some deli food
We're featuring a few of our house-made deli salads this week so you can turn off your oven and have an easy meal - easy food that's not fast food.
Also, there are a limited number of peaches available - add them to your order while they last! By next week we should have melons.

Please leave any insulated bags and ice packs on your porch for us to snag when we deliver (if you... read more »

As always,... read more »
Blackberries, garlic and cherry tomatoes!
We're about to get into the heart of summer produce, but not QUITE yet. Just a note about how we allocate food around here: if a crop isn't a sure thing, we don't offer it up in the grocery boxes. So we might get small numbers of tomatoes, peppers and peaches in the store this week, but you won't see... read more »
PASTA SPECIAL: Wild mushroom and herb campanelle
Chris Becker at Della Terra Pasta reached out to us about a limited run pasta (one of his personal favorites, no less) that he wanted to offer to our grocery box customers, so of course we said yes!
Wild mushroom and herb campanelle is a dried pasta with porcini and maitake mushrooms as well as... read more »
