---- Garlic Planting ----

Finished planting garlic this last weekend. Tripled the amount that we planted in the previous year. Garlic is planted in the fall, covered with mulch, and then emerges in the spring. Still have to cover it with straw but the hard part of planting is done. If everything goes correctly we should have way too much garlic next year, fingers crossed.

---- Last Carrot Harvest ----

When I did fall tillage just this last week, I saved out two rows of carrots. These were carrots that were stunted by the June drought. If the weather cooperated these carrots would produce, the weather has cooperated. We'll harvest them this week and then all that will remain in the field is leeks and brussel sprouts.

Thanks,
