Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer Season, Week 16, Delivery September 13th thru September 15th
---- Root Crops ----
We started harvesting carrots and fall radishes this week. Beets will soon be here, but we are still waiting for them to grow a bit more. There will be a limited supply this week of carrots, but we have only just started harvesting so there will be plenty more on the way.
---- Half Bushels of Tomatoes ----
We will start offering slicer and roma half bushels of tomatoes. Slicer tomato half bushels will be in a bit shorter supply but romas should be plentiful. Roma tomatoes are determinate, which means they all tend to come at once. A normal unit of tomatoes is about 2 pounds, a tomato half bushel is 16 pounds. If you're interested in getting any don't be afraid to add them to your box and use up those early summer credits. If you're looking for even more contact me directly and we can see what we can do.
