Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer Season, Week 15, Delivery September 6th thru September 8th
---- Summer Workers are Back to School ----
With it being September our summer high school workers are all back to school. This just leaves Jacob and I to run do most of the picking throughout the week. The kiddos do work on the weekends, but that up to them, which allows for more larger harvests to happen then. But from here on out it's all about proper planning to get everything out of the field.
---- Half Bushels of Tomatoes ----
We will start offering slicer and roma half bushels of tomatoes. Slicer tomato half bushels will be in a bit shorter supply but romas should be plentiful. Roma tomatoes are determinate, which means they all tend to come at once. A normal unit of tomatoes' is about 2 pounds, a tomato half bushel is 16 pounds. If you're interested in getting any don't be afraid to add them to your box and use up those early summer credits. If you're looking for even more contact me directly and we can see what we can do.
