---- Quail Eggs! ----

Two years ago, Kathy and I bought quail eggs at the San Antonio Farmers Market. What tasty little eggs for mini-fried eggs or hard boiled eggs. We decided to try raising quail. So far, so good. We now have quail eggs. If you want them, you will start seeing them listed to add to your box. Also, we have the quail egg scissors that make opening them a lot easier. So if you pick quail eggs, add a quail eggs scissor to your box as well. It will make it a lot easier to open the egg.

---- Radishes ----

We started harvesting radishes from the field. They look really nice and pretty unaffected by the heat. Lettuce and Spinach are also doing well. Usually Spinach hates hot weather, but we have a variety that has managed to keep looking good so far.

---- Drought Creeps Closer ----

I was surprised to look at the NWS Drought Map and see that the Dakotas are already in an official drought. Hopefully it does not creep eastward. We are keeping up with watering, running the sprinkler 24/7. The vegetables are still looking okay.

Phil.
