Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Winter, Week 39&40, Feb 21
---- Seed Planting Begins ----
We are planting the first seeds of the season. Leeks need a long time, so they were started 2 weeks ago. They are destined for the field in about 3 months. Then last week, we did lettuce, spinach and radishes. These will go into the greenhouse, or maybe the high tunnel.
---- Guest Produce ----
We have some green onions from Jimmy and Heather, where they cleaned out a corner of their green house. They look nice!
---- Chickens Going Outside ----
As long as its sunny, the chickens will go outside even with temps in the single digits. So we laid out some straw outside for them to walk on and scratch about. And this week is going to be even milder!
