Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Winter, Week 35&36, Jan 24

---- Winter Doldrums ----

We are down to the last winter squash and white turnips. Our remaining storage produce will be kohlrabi, purple turnips and sunchokes. And, of course, we will have eggs, honey and bread. We don't expect early spring greens and onions until mid-March. If none of these things appeal to you, feel free to empty your box when you get the "time to customize" email, (or put future boxes "on hold"). You will receive full credit for those empty boxes. That credit can be used later when more produce is available.

---- Summer Sign Up Available ----

You can now sign up for Summer Season. If you sign up by Feb 28, you will receive extra credits ($100 for full share, $50 for half share) that can be redeemed for excess summer produce. CSA info and sign up link are at

http://www.trumpeterswanfarm.com/csa.htm

Winter Season members are ALWAYS reserved a spot for Summer Season, so if you are not sure yet, there is no rush to sign up. If you have any questions, let me know.

---- Planting Plans ----

We are working on our planting plans and seed orders. As you know, we try to grow a wide variety of items - planting most anything that grows in Minnesota without extra protection. If there is a new item (or a different variety) that you think we should try to grow, let me know.
