Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Winter, Week 25&26, Nov 15

----  Last of the Brussells Sprouts  ----

Brussells Sprouts are still tasty. Just pick off any old outer leaves. I know they are small this year, the dry summer slowed their growth. I like to just fry (or roast) them in some olive oil and salt. Nice mild taste.

----  Sourdough Bread  ----

The sourdough bread vendor at our Buffalo Farmers Market is shorthanded (Garrett from Diamond City Bread, Elk River), and cannot come to the winter market. I volunteered to pick up his bread and sell it. Whatever was left, I froze (it freezes well), and we have it listed on Harvie. Feel free to add one to your box. They value at $6, same as a dozen eggs or honey. Let me know what you think - we can keep offering bread thru December, maybe longer...

----  Eggs  ----

The Harvie people wanted us to simplify, and just have eggs. So no more 2 or 3 packs of eggs. Just single dozens. When you look at your box, just verify that you have the number of eggs you want. Add more, using the plus sign, or less by using the minus sign or trash can.

Phil.
