Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Winter, Week 23&24, Nov 1

---- Last of the Broccoli and Cauliflower ----

Before the temperatures headed to the teens, we picked the last of the Broccoli and Cauliflower. Small heads, plus some pyramid shaped Veronica cauliflower. It is in the swap area, but not a lot available. Often we have a good last crop, but the dry summer must have slowed it down to not mature in time.

---- Brussels Sprouts ----

We find Brussels Sprouts taste better after the first freeze, so we do not pick them until now. They came out nice, but not as plentiful. Everyone should get some in their box, unless they said "not for me".

---- Credit for Unused Space ----

Just a reminder - you get a credit for any unused space in your box. That credit can be used to select extra items later when spring harvest begins, or to reduce the cost of the Summer Season. So no need to put things in your box that you do not really want. And, in fact, if nothing strikes your fancy, feel free to completely empty your box and receive no delivery and receive credit for an empty box. No one will judge you for not wanting turnips every delivery!

Thanks,
Phil.
