Trumpeter Swan Farm CSA News - Summer, Week 15, Sept 6

---- Big Cool Down ----

What a difference a few days make. Suddenly they are talking about frost warnings up north! We usually plan for first frost about September 20. Current prediction is 38 degrees Wed nite, with calm wind and partly cloudy. If that "partly cloudy" becomes "mostly clear" or "clear", we might see an early frost. Here's hoping "not".

---- Radishes ----

Fall radishes have arrived. They grow bigger, but more tender, in the fall. If you like radishes, we will have them for the rest of the season.

---- Sweet Corn Break ----

We have a break in the sweet corn, so no corn this week. Must be a dry spell that we had 2 months ago that slowed down this next planting. But it is coming, should have more sweet corn next week.

Thanks,
Phil.
