There are lots of great summer veggies making an appearance in shares or the swap area this week! Delicious, tender, new potatoes and our first carrots are the stars of the show! You will also find shishito peppers and cauliflower in the swap area for a few lucky members. The vegetables are all looking fabulous at this time of year and the bees and other pollinators are busy making sure that some of our fall crops are well pollinated too.
We heavily harvested the first tomatoes last week so we are going to give them a rest in preparation for lots of tomatoes for everyone in August and early September.
In the extras section, you will notice we are re-stocked on Rainbow Trout plus we are now offering packs of 4 Pickerel Burgers. We are planning on eating our pickerel burgers tonight with a grilled pineapple, garlic aioli, harvati cheese, and radish micro greens. Yum!
Also, our eggs are on SALE! We have an over-abundance of eggs and need to find them a good home :) Those that have egg shares will receive a credit for the amount of the sale on their Harvie account.
