Week 10

Posted on July 16th, 2022 by Ford Waterstrat

The work days are very long this time of year and I was skimming thru pictures to reflect on the wonderful group of guys that I'm blessed to work with. We try to celebrate each of our team member's birthdays. Hugo and I are enjoying his birthday here in 2019.

The crops are doing fairly well. However as mentioned earlier this season, after 3 different plantings of sweetcorn- the turkeys destroyed nearly every bit of it. We shifted our last planting of sweetcorn to a different farm and planted it right before the 6 week drought- and very little came up. So unfortunately we will not have sweetcorn this season.

We also lost a substantial amount of watermelon and cantaloupe to turkeys, but we are hoping to include those in your shares in a couple of weeks. It is likely that these will not be as abundant as other years.

Best to you all-

Ford
