Week 8

Posted on June 25th, 2021 by Ford Waterstrat

I hope that you were able to enjoy some of the beautiful days this past week. Here's a great shot of the guys out harvesting cabbage- Can you see the one flying thru the air?

My wonderful wife-Amanda- has been preparing some wonderful farm meals for us as she's now on "summer break." Great salads, fresh zoodle spaghetti stuff, fried potatoes (which are almost ready to be harvested) and plenty of other great things. I'm so thankful that she takes the time to wash, spin dry, and store the lettuces that she sneaks out of the cooler. We think our lettuce is far superior to the "salad mixes" that you get at the store. Store salad mixes are way more convenient though :)

We're excited to be harvesting red slicer tomatoes now. We hope to keep you stocked from now until the end of the season with those juicy gems.

The diversity of items we harvest for you should continue to expand each week now.

The only crop that we imagine will be in short supply at this point is the sweet corn. There's many reasons that you can't find fresh certified organic sweet corn in the stores. Trying to grow it drives me crazy every year and this year will be the same. Very frustrating indeed.

All of the other crops are looking great though!

Best wishes,

Ford
