Shopping at the Grocery Store

We hope you're doing well. If you have children that are in the public school system, I hope its off to a smooth start. Finley is excited about 2nd grade and the twins are thrilled to go with Finley to the school bus this year...but they still have 1 more year before they start. We're blessed to have a great school system and an awesome bus driver. Every once in a while I'll be out in one of the farms down the road (instead of at the bus stop) and  Ms. "Daisy" the bus driver will find me at one of the farms if I'm missing. and bring Finley to me.

This past Thursday our delivery driver was off on vacation so I was able to make the Thursday deliveries to Lexington and was able to run into one of the local Healthy Food Grocery stores and check out some of the competitions products. I was happy to see some of my friends crops in their store. I was especially eager to check out the sweet corn and guess what I found in the 1st 3 ears of organic corn?????? Big ole corn earworms. Green and brown ones. Its nearly impossible to get organic sweet corn without getting some earworms in the later part of the summer.

We've been removing the tips so you don't have to see the worms- We hope that's ok with you.

I also checked out the stores cantaloupes. They are selling them super ripe like we've been delivering. We hope you enjoy these super sweet fresh beauties!

Best wishes, Ford
