Record Lows!

Posted on May 8th, 2020 by Ford Waterstrat

We had Record Lows Friday night. What's that mean for your farmer- and for you? For us- we've been wrestling, installing, and securing the biggest blankets you've ever seen- fields full of 50x500 foot blankets that we use to protect crops. (how many football fields are in a 50x500 foot area?) Needless to say the rain and wind have added to the challenge- Did it protect all the crops? Most of them Saturday morning was a day filled with delight because everything survived-- but it could have been a real stinker of a day. (check out more photos on our FB and Instagram Page

For you- we hope that you are delighted with what you receive. We stand behind our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!  We were prepared for your share to be on the small side, but fortunately we have some great canned items that were adding into the shares for these first couple of weeks until the crops bounce back.

We debated on delaying shares another week, but there are some crops that can't delay being harvested another week. If we don't deliver them to you, we'd have to send them to the compost pile. And... as you might imagine- Late Friday night I was hoping that the last 3-4 months of work weren't going to freeze and be destroyed so we decided to go ahead and give you some of the crops that we knew would withstand the freeze ok.

Regardless of the weather,- Don't you worry one bit- We'll deliver on our promise- Each Week- your shares will have more and more variety, more and more terrific USDA Certified Organic crops. Just keep in mind- the first week or two will most likely be a little on the light side- in terms of variety.

Thanks so much for your support!
