Planning for Spring

Posted on February 23rd, 2021 by Ron Meyer

This week of warmer weather and melting snow reminds us that spring will be coming again before long. Ron has been planning for the 2021 growing season, plotting out garden rows, deciding what seedlings to start and what seeds we need to order. Soon we will start seeding vegetables like onions, tomatoes, peppers and kale to grow under lights in the south-facing windows of our packing shed. We will also root sweet potatoes to provide shoots for planting.

Our Harvie group will be the first to know when we have any fresh produce available. It's hard to tell when that will be. It's been a cold and snowy winter, but things can warm up fast.

This week we offer some of our stored sweet potatoes, in addition to ground beef, garlic, raspberry jam, and lots of eggs. Our next delivery will be March 18. If you need more eggs before then, you are welcome to come pick them up at the farm. Just email, text, or phone in advance.
