We are getting ready for the Fall/Winter CSA season and need to get them back to us and cleaned. We are still short about 300 bags! 
The carnival squash is a hybrid of the sweet dumpling squash and the acorn squash.
Slightly smaller than acorn squash. 
When cooked, Carnival squash is soft and tender with a fragrant aroma and is slightly nutty, buttery, and sweet with nuances of maple syrup, similar to butternut squash.
Another fall veggie you should give a try...
No matter what you call them – sweet potato leaves, camote tops, or kamote tops – the vines are rich and flavorful, although like most greens they may be somewhat bitter.
The leaves are prepared much like spinach or turnip greens. Boiling the sweet potato vine leaves in a small amount of water removes any toughness or bitterness.
Once the sweet potato greens are tender, chop the leaves and use them in recipes or sauté them with butter and garlic. Finish off by splashing the hot sweet potato greens with soy sauce or vinegar and a dash of salt.
