Ever wonder what's almost finished and what's coming next?

We'll give you the inside scoop!

Start finding out with Farmer Phil's one minute video this week.

Click the video inside this email to learn about 8 different veggies.

Garlic Scapes (or Garlic Spears) are a great treat!

You can usually get them in late spring and early summer.

The season is very short, so get them while they last.

[RPFarm BAGS] EATING STRAIGHT FROM THE FARM

To soften the licorice flavor of the Fennel bulb, try braising, sautéing, roasting, or grilling it.

Fennel stalks can take the place of celery in soups and stews, and can be used as a "bed" for roasted chicken and meats.

Use fennel fronds as a garnish, or chop them and use as you would other herbs, like dill or parsley.

Bring your kitchen to life!

Use this simple step for roasted or air frying garlic scapes...

INGREDIENTS: by Gourmet Done Skinny
  • 1 bunch of garlic scapes (also called garlic spears)
  • oil spray (I like to use my Olive Oil Mister)
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • fresh lemon zest
---
Enjoy the roasted garlic scapes with most anything that needs some garlic favor or a bit of texture, says Locavore

That would be my salad, sandwich or veggie side dishes.

Keep life worry-free.

Try roasting them all at once because roasted scapes will freeze really well.

Simply cut to bite size. Then, put any leftovers on a lined cookie sheet and freeze for 1-2 hour before putting them into a Ziploc bag for use this winter.
