Hello everyone!
Hope you've had a great week out there so far. Wow, nice bit of rain the last 24 hours. No complaints there! So nice to see some moisture in the ground. Hopefully things will green up a bit with the sun we're supposed to get the next few days.
We are getting garlic this Friday! From Buck Ridge Ranch and Gardens on West Fraser Rd. SO excited about this. Since we're getting it the same day as your boxes, I won't put them in this week's, but they will be in next week's shares, and you will have the option to order bulk amounts for the winter. This week, we have more potatoes from Silver Birch Farm and Buck Ridge Ranch, and all the usuals from Puddle Produce Farm. We have bunches of Chioggia beets ready. If you haven't tried these, they are also known as candy cane beets; they are white and red striped in the middle, like a bulls eye. Super lovely sliced thinly in a salad to take advantage of the colours.
