Our Last 2022 Veggie Boxes! ALL pick-ups at Mint&Lime

Posted on September 29th, 2022 by Brianna van de Wijngaard

Well this is it! The last of our veggie boxes are going out the week of October 3rd. As much as we are ready to wind down, I will miss the satisfaction we get from delivering veggies every week. A weekly veggie investment is a very special and rewarding experience for us because you make a significant commitment to our growing season. It does not go unnoticed: Regina and I are truly grateful, and we love working as hard as we can to make it a good experience for you. We hope it has been.

We have a couple new additions to the list even now! I trialed some celery this year, so the little bit we have is in the boxes this week. We might grow more in the future! And a bit of radicchio for the chicory lovers :P Lastly - and perhaps the most exciting! - we have 2L bottles of frozen, unpasteurized, unfiltered,100% pure and no-spray apple juice from Fraserbench Farm up the road from us. If any of you have had Lynda's apple juice before, you'll know it's quite different from store bought. Far richer and more flavour. I like it half and half with some carbonated water! Those are listed as extras.

We also marked down everything we have a lot of, so winter squash and onions are on sale!

ALL PICK-UPS AT MINT & LIME THIS TUESDAY!

A reminder that September 27th was the LAST Tuesday farmers market of the season, so all farmers market pick-ups this coming week will have their boxes at Mint & Lime October 4th instead. But please note they are open only until 3pm! So if you can't get there in time, please let me know and I'll connect with you to make other arrangements. Thanks for your understanding on this! And please say a huge thanks to Jenn and Mindy when you pop in on Tuesday: they have been hosting our veggie boxes all summer for a couple seasons now, and it's really awesome that they give up their time and space for us. Thank you, ladies!

I think that's it for now, folks. Again, thank you SO SO much for trusting us to provide you local food this year. It really warms our hearts. Please let me know ANY feedback you have - we always want to hear how we can improve. Otherwise, I'll be in touch early 2023 with news about next season. It will be a big one!

Thanks, everyone. You're awesome! Have a great winter
