Farm Happenings for July 10, 2022

Posted on July 7th, 2022 by Grayson Crane

Hi there CSA Members,

Hope you're all well and healthy--we've been busy seeding and prepping an extra acre of ground for fall/winter production this week, and will continue to do so into the following week. The wet spring delayed some plans and had us switching a couple of rotations around, but now that its finally dry enough we're excited to get even more veg into the ground by the end of July for your plates in the fall. This field has been cover cropped, had some sheeps running on it earlier this year, and will see some extra lime and Pink Moon's own compost before we get plants in there. One of the pros of having animals on the farm means we use very few off farm inputs. Thanks sheep!

This week brings more peas, and the same delicious variety of greens. The summer squash and zucchini are getting bigger by the hour and we're hopeful you'll see some more summer veg next week!
