Groundhogs, Lemurs & Organic Plant Sale Updates

Posted on February 1st, 2021 by Robyn Calvey

Tomorrow is that silly day when we turn to a rodent to help us predict the future.  More than ever before, I have a good feeling that whatever Punxsutawney Phil tells us, we will make the best of it.  Six more weeks of winter?...no problem.  Early spring?...bring it on.  After the year we have all endured, we have to find hope where we can and realize how strong we all are because of it.  As you can see from the photo, Lemur is getting his first round of "flu shots".  By the end of the month, all the stuffies around our house will be fully vaccinated.  Can't come soon enough.  They have been horrible at distancing and still hang out in a pile most of the day!

In just 29 days we start the first seeds of the season.  That will be happening no matter what Phil sees or doesn't see.  We start seeds in the greenhouse each week thereafter until the middle of August. Oh the sweet smell of soil....I can't wait.  In March we will be seeding in the ground in the hoop house for the Spring Shares.  If you haven't signed up...sorry they are sold out.  But there is a waiting list form on our website if you are interested.

Home gardeners listen up!  Have you started planning your garden?  You will want to check out our ORGANIC PLANT SALE for 2021.  We are putting the finishing touches on our variety plans and locking down the details. We are not only adding more crop types to our availability but we are increasing variety selections within those crops AND adding some great volume discounts to the shopping experience.  Our plants will be available for PRE-ORDERING starting in late March/early April.  In person sales of plants and pick up of orders will be in May.  Watch your emails in March for info about when you can order and how.

Happy Groundhog Day everyone and whatever you do Mr Phil Groundhog...keep the sunshine coming!

Robyn
