Farm Happenings for October 1, 2018

Posted on September 29th, 2018 by Tim Vrieselaar

Brrr....it's cold out there!! Actually -3 isn't really cold, but when you are trying to dig carrots it feels bitter.  Sunday was -2 and -3 all day so that's really going to wrap things up in a hurry.  But most of the garden is already empty - just carrots, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage (and leek and celery if they are still good.)  This is a year of no waste in the garden!! We have used every thing that could be harvested.  That's a good thing.

Don't forget to sign up for your winter share.  We would like the registrations as soon as possible so that we know how much lettuce needs to be seeded.  Follow this link to get on board for the winter share: https://www.harvie.farm/signup/noble-gardens

last week of October till the 3rd week of December.  Deliveries this year will be weekly not bi-weekly like last year.

LETHBRIDGE MEMBERS - Thanksgiving Delivery will be this FRIDAY, October 5.  Please mark your calendars!

Only a few weeks left and hopefully it will warm up enough to dig the rest of the carrots before winter hits.
