Farm Happenings for June 7, 2021

Posted on June 1st, 2021 by Tim Vrieselaar

Our days are about to get a whole lot busier!

It is finally dry enough to get into the field and start transplanting all the plants that have been well loved in and out of the greenhouse for the last many weeks.  It's a bit later start than we had hoped...but this beautiful weather will have them growing and flourishing in short order!

We are super excited to be able to offer you a few Spring items next week.  We hope to have fresh asparagus and spring onions available for next week.

Other good news is that the strawberries are starting to flower....they are looking very nice and I can't wait to have the first fresh strawberries to share!  It is usually a month of good weather to take the berries from flowers to fruit.....so look for those in early July...if it stays nice and warm!

I'm looking forward to getting all those plants in the ground....so that I don't need to hand water them all.  It is a very time consuming job, and especially with the warm days now...they are constantly wanting more water.  But it is a very rewarding sight to see all those plants ready and waiting to grow.  And we will enjoy watching them grow all the way till the last plants are ready very late in the fall.

Wishing you all a wonderful week.

REMEMBER>>>this order form is due by noon Tuesday...tomorrow.  I am planning to get it out before our crazy Monday starts next time...but hopefully we can all work together to get the order forms a bit closer to the pick up day. Thanks for all your support!
