Order Form for March 8, 2021 Delivery

Posted on February 27th, 2021 by Tim Vrieselaar

Today we bring greetings from 'Lil Helpers!  Angie and Albert and their 5 children live just outside of Coaldale and there is even a family tie in this one.  Angie is my cousin (oh the fun we had sleeping over at each others houses during our childhood years!) I will let her carry on with her spices introductions.  The month of March brings a new batch of spices!!

Hello all, a hearty March greeting! As Spring excitement fills the air, days are getting longer, nights are still refreshingly cool (or downright cold!) our excitement of what we all have to offer overflows into kitchens. But hold on, almost Spring, we just are not there yet! We are still enjoying those home cooked meals that make our homes fragrant with cozy warmth, before the business of warmer weather takes us from our kitchens to the deck and grills. The freshness and quality of what we have to offer can only help.

'Lil Helpers is bringing us Meatball mix, Cumin, Nutmeg, Chili Powder, Seasoning Salt, Black Pepper and Chamomile.  The descriptions for each item should be available on your order form....But I am going to copy her Meatball Mix:

Our feature item this month is our renowned Meatball mix, but don’t let the name disappoint those who prefer the plant- based meals! I love the versatility of this blend. Whether you use in hamburger meatballs, vegan meat-less balls, use it as a rub for grilling red meats or veggies, it just simply tastes great! With a hint of cumin and the faint robust flavor of nutmeg it makes for a flavorful, sizzling, aromatic dish! And of course, once again, only pure ingredients!

It feels so good to see a fresh layer of snow and then feel the warmth of the sun to melt it....I won't think about mud...I am choosing to look at the bright side and start thinking Spring!!  And since most of our seeds are here....it is one step closer to planting time again!  We battled some very serious winds last Sunday....and I am sad to say that it was too much for our greenhouse!  (120km/hr plus!)  So we will be putting a new roof on the greenhouse again within the next 6 weeks.  That project takes a totally calm day...and lots of willing hands to help hold the plastic and pull it over the greenhouse.  It can be a bit stressful getting the plastic on....but the reward of a warm, sunny transplant house it delightful!!

Have a wonderful week!
